Michael was born in Moscow and grew up in Montreal where he got his B.A. in language from Concordia University. After graduating from Vancouver Film School, he continued to study with renowned Canadian acting coach and director Mel Tuck. Following a decade in Vancouver, Michael relocated to Los Angeles. He speaks Russian, French, Hebrew and Spanish.

Michael just booked his first series regular in the sitcom pilot presentation Staffed where he will be playing a delinquent with a heart of gold. He will next appear as a young hustler in Ryan Murphy's Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, a pickpocket in SoundCloud-helmed feature film The Day Ones, a 1950s era Soviet soldier in the upcoming TV series Ellen (Action Grandma), and in a leading role as a naive journalist in the independent film The 4th Branch.

In his spare time he enjoys working out, reading, and is planning to kidnap his ex-roommate's dog so that they can run off into the sunset together.
